IRELAND Wedding Videographers Hot Spots

Best Videography Locations Antrim,

The Antrim Coast is a stunning and stimulating videography destination in County Antrim, stretching across the northern tip of Northern Ireland. It offers videographers of all skill levels a stunning array of wonderful scenery , from ancient crumbling castles to huge cresting waves, the rugged coastline merges with soft velvet hills, magical greenery and beauty.

It is steeped in history and heritage, from the first human settlement in Ireland to ancient stories of kings and Celtic clans. Its wonderful natural beauty lies at the center of the Causeway Coastal Route - a must see of every visitor to these shores - stretching from the banging city of Belfast in the east, along the coast in the north, to the walled city of Derry.

Marlow Bay

Marlow Bay is the first place we suggest to visit. Follow the narrow coastal roads through the meadows, turn east to west and dash towards the coast for stunning views of the sea at every turn. The rugged Rathlin Island is across the sea and on a clear day you can see Kintyre in Scotland in the distance.

Just between Fair Head and Tall Head, it is considered one of the most beautiful bays in the region and is known for its great natural beauty and feeling of isolation. Very likely to be videoed, from the mature trees to the interesting rock formations, the bay must be explored on foot. The remains of a settlement once occupied by miners gives the impression that time has stood still, the daunting Fairhead can be viewed the landscape to the west.

Dark Hedges

Northern Ireland is a magnet for movie series, and fans of Game of Thrones TV series know the iconic Rush Street - known as The Kingsroad by George RR Martin - near Ballymoney. These wonderful imposing trees were planted by the Stuarts in the 18th century as a fascinating sight to impress their guests.

200 years later, the Ethereal Tunnel remains a magnificent sight, depicting the imagination of artists and photographers with its mysterious and dramatic play of light and serenity. The old and beautiful trees along the path have become known as dark hedges over time. Dramatic and mesmerizing, the trees are one of the country's most videoed & photographed attractions and a stunning sight for visitors from around the world.

Planning your visit early in the morning or late afternoon is best. It's quite rare to have this place all to yourself, so be patient when taking video so wait for a gap in the crowd or include people in your wedding video.

Ballymoney

The view of County Antrim is particularly beautiful, but we especially like the area around the small town of Ballymoney. Farmland, lush green hills and rolling countryside are perfect for videography. If you're lucky, your videos will be even more magical if you can time your visit when the canyon is foggy. Its an Irish wedding videographer's dream location.

Ballintoy Harbour

The village of Balintoy has a population of about 200 and is another location used in the hot TV series Game of Thrones. The harbor, located right next to the coast, has remained almost unchanged for many moons and is a very attractive location to videographers

Both the harbor and the coastal area are very photogenic, providing viewer with breath taking sea views. This delightful bay is usually full of fishing boats and birds and is one of the best places to see in wild and windy conditions or alternatively a bright sunny day.

Dunseverick Falls

Dunseverick Falls near Bushmills (home of the famous Whiskey) is a great place to visit with your video camera. This beautiful waterfall falls directly into the open sea and creates a unique and stunning view. You can take pictures of the waterfall from the rocks above or next to it while also enjoying the marine view. Be careful when videoing rocks and beware of large and unexpected waves.

The nearby Dunseverick Castle and the peninsula on which it is located have been national trust owned properties since 1962. In addition to Dunseverick Falls, the castle ruins and Causeway Cliff path both offer great places to capture video. Wandering west along cliff-top trails to the Giant's Causeway for stunning ocean views, its an ideal place for a romantic wedding video shoot.
